qualitative assessments help clients establish a solid foundation for planning, implementing plans, and addressing contemporary issues their organization. We use the following tools to help clients identify and analyze their current strategic position: preventative - snapshot - benchmark - 180° - 360° - governance
preventative assessment - An informal review of the stress factors within the agency. Involves a short questionnaire and self-evaluation. Estimated time, 30 minutes. snapshot assessment - An informal review of the client organization. Involves a review of written materials and a focused conversation with the project leader. Estimated time, 5+ hours. benchmark assessment - A comparison of specific areas of the client organization with industry standards and similar organizations. Involves a mutually agreed upon research process. Estimated time, 10+ hours. 180° assessment - An informal review of the client's organizational capacity. Involves 5 - 10 interviews about the client's history, purpose, aspirations, culture, guiding principles, assumptions, goals, decision-making processes, systems, structures, staff, board, and clientele. Estimated time, 50+ hours spanning one or more months. 360° assessment - A formal assessment of the client's board, campaign readiness, annual development program, or entire organization. Involves a mutually agreed upon survey of relevant team members about culture, systems, and structures in specified organizational areas. Estimated time, 90+ hours spanning three or more months. governance assessment - A formal assessment of the members of the client's board. Involves a paper or online survey and a tabulation and report on the results. Estimated time, 40+ hours spanning two months.
